4A-GE 20V ITB bolt patterns
Just a shot in the dark here, but has anyone by chance compared the 20V ITB bolt patterns between silvertop & blacktop?
The bolt holes that the plenum / velocity stacks / trumpets bolt into. I do know that the gaskets have different part numbers between versions and that the bore size is different but that doesn't mean that the bolt pattern isn't the same. I only have silvertop gear myself, and Toyota Finland is having problems delivering a blacktop gasket for me, otherwise I would have compared the gaskets and be done with it. Thanks

So yes, the pattern is quite a bit different on the silvertop, as the up-down spacing is 72mm instead of 84mm. Also more than probably the throats are further apart from each other on the blacktop. I'll just have to keep on bugging the finnish dealer to order me a gasket to draw flanges off of. Thanks! AFAIK the ITB spacing matches the cylinder bore spacing, and that will be the same on the silvertop and blacktop. So while the throat size is larger on the blacktop, the spacing centre to centre should be the same. Cheers... jondee86 |

Yes, now that I look at the silvertop itb's there does seem to be ample room between the throats even when taking into account the larger throat on BT. I guess we'll see when I get a chance to compare the gaskets

Thanks for the offer, but Toyota Finland eventually managed to complete my gasket-order. Hoping to get my hands on it in the next month or so
